What an amazing book! I didn’t want to stop reading but also didn’t want the book to end. I felt like I was there in the story feeling all the happiness, sadness and heartache right along with Callie. Hoping for a sequel.

  2. Kim McManus says:

“Just a Train Ride” is a sweet story. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it warmed my heart. It is reminiscent of a simpler time, a time of committment, faithfulness, family unity, hard work and selfless sacrifice. It took me back to a sweeter time of sitting at my grandma’s knee listening to her stories during the same era. It is a book I look forward to reading again. Well worth the read.

  4. Linda Christensen says:

Wonderful story Beth! i don’t know how you can get inside your characters heads like you do! They become so real as you continue to absorb the story. i feel like i am right there anyway! i think because i lived in that old farmhouse—i knew Pearl and Wilber, Esther, Mary, and “Callie and Miles”! Another reason i enjoy especially your last two novels is that i am getting older and your story lines feature
older and younger characters both! nice touch and very true to life! Thanks for sharing your talent! Our love and blessings, Linda and Bob
