About Elizabeth Wehman
It took Elizabeth (Beth) Wehman only 100 books, read all one winter in first grade, to fall in love with writing. Her first journalistic endeavor was in Junior High when she was published in the, “Wide Awake Club,” section in the Flint Journal. Those two early memories only kindled her love for writing and journalism.
Graduating from Cedarville University in 1985, her Business/Marketing degree has only enhanced Elizabeth’s ability to further her freelance and novel writing career.
She’s been published in numerous Christian magazines, written Sunday School curriculum for almost every age group, attended five national Christian writing conferences, and been a reporter/journalist/editor for the past 17 years. This writing experience led her to make the decision to quit her day job and begin her ultimate dream of writing novels. In 2014, she published, Under the Windowsill followed by Promise at Daybreak in 2015. Just a Train Ride is her September 2017 publication. Her latest work, Mere Reflection, will debut on Sunday, May 19 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Durand Union Station. Adding to all of this is sharing her love for writing with an audience. Elizabeth loves to share her journalism experiences and writing challenges with women who love to read “clean” contemporary inspirational fiction.
Another writing goal was to start a writing group that would help other authors/writers pursue their writing dreams. In May of 2016 Elizabeth founded the group, Shiawassee Area Writers. This group has 35 members and meets twice monthly to learn about the craft, marketing tips, and network with others trying to do the same. You can learn more about Elizabeth’s group at www.shiareawriters.com.
Elizabeth seeks to inspire others to follow their dreams and find how God often allows his followers to eventually have the “desires of their hearts.” To learn more about Elizabeth’s novels as well as scheduling a speaking engagement, contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
